Apex Mining completed the acquisition of  Asia-Alliance Mining Resources Corp. on 10 February 2023 (the agreement and acquisition process began in December 2022).

The main asset of Asia-Alliance is its interest in the North Davao Mining Project covering 19,135.12 hectares across the municipalities of Mabini, Maco, and Maragusan in Davao de Oro.

This acquisition is primarily for the development of a new tailings storage facility for Apex Mining’s Maco Mine expansion. Another benefit of this acquisition is that the mining claims of Asia-Alliance surround Apex Mining's existing Maco operations, providing opportunities for future exploration and development.

Asia-Alliance’s early history is closely associated with the North Davao Mining Project in Davao de Oro. North Davao operated Amacan Copper Project from August 1982 to May 1992 and the Hijo Gold Project from May 1980 – 1985.
