TB-Treatment, Prevention, & Control

The TB (Tuberculoss) in the Workplace, Treatment, Prevention and Control Policy adheres to the company’s mission of having safe and healthy workers and workplaces. It took effect on 01 March 2014 extends to workers' families, as well.

Drug and Alcohol

In pursuit of its commitment to a safety and health, Apex Mining’s commitment to health and safety is enhanced by its policy and drugs and alcohol which establishes guidelines, processes and procedures Drug and Alcohol-Abuse, Recognition, Evaluation & Surveillance (DARES), and other related purposes.

HIV-AIDS Workplace

In conformity with Republic Act No. 8504 otherwise known as the Philippine AIDS Prevention and Control Act of 1998, Apex Mining’s HIV/AIDS Workplace Policy and Program aims to address the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS workers' right against discrimination, and confidentiality is maintained.

Quality Environment Safety Health

The Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Policy, or the IMS policy, is the foundation of Apex Mining’s management responsibility and is implemented and continually improved at all levels of the organization. This policy reflects Apex Mining’s vision of inclusive progress in harmony with sustainable development through continuous improvement of business practices as a responsible mining company.

Breastfeeding Policy

Apex Mining supports Republic Act 10028 or the "Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009". The breastfeeding policy took effect on 23 August 2017.

Sexual Harassment

The Sexual Harassment Policy and Guidelines of Apex Mining, which took effect on 23 August 2017, is based on the provisions of Republic Act 7877 or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law.

New Employee Safety Handbook

Apex Mining’s Grievance Policy is rooted in its commitment to provide a culture of respect and transparency in dealing with all employees, establishing parameters for the prompt resolution of grievances arising from the interpretation or enforcement of company policies.
